David Hanson

Physician Assistant

David Hanson was born to be a healer.

His adoptive mother was a nurse in Missoula, Mont., and he was always fascinated by science.

“I grew up around medicine and I had a natural talent in science,” said Hanson. “It just fell into place for me.”

One of the first things you’ll notice about David Hanson, PA-C, is his warm smile and good nature. “I am pretty laid back, but I take my patients very seriously,” he said. “I am a people person and I enjoy getting to know them.”

Hanson graduated from the University of Washington’s MEDEX Physician Assistant program in Spokane. He completed his internship program at the Kellogg Clinic.

“I fell in love with the mission of Heritage Health,” said David. “It’s a wonderful place with a fantastic array of services"

He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Montana and appreciates the complexities of anatomy and the human body.

“I love people and medicine seemed like the perfect marriage of those two things,” he said. “This is my first gig. The style that I have been developing is down to earth. I am very much into communicating with people and moving forward in a shared decision-making process.”

David and his wife, Shelby, have three children. He spends most of his free time with his family.

David loves to snowboard and to spend time in the mountains. He also plays the bass in a jazz band. He also has a passion for cooking.

“No singing,” David says with a good-natured chuckle. “I’ve dabbled in music production and I’ve been in a couple of bands.”
