Leanne Rousseau
Physician
Dr. Leanne Rousseau hails from Wyoming but earned her medical degree from the University of Utah where she also did her family medicine residency.
After practicing family medicine in Wyoming for a few years, she moved to Post Falls with her family and started volunteering in 1991 at the new Lake City Clinic in Coeur d’Alene, also known then as the free clinic.
Ultimately, she became the first medical director when the board successfully applied for a grant and became Dirne Community Health Center in 2003.
While volunteering, she also worked for Group Health in multiple sites in Idaho and Washington.

During residency and while in practice in Wyoming she developed a strong interest in mental health and always incorporated care for patients with behavioral health disorders into her practice. She still works at what has become Heritage Health primarily caring for patients with behavioral health needs and incorporating education for the future providers of our region into the Heritage Health culture.
She is thrilled to be a part of Heritage and proud of its growth from its humble start to the multifaceted organization in multiple communities.

She and her husband loved raising their four boys here and still love having all their grandchildren and family and friends come home to enjoy the region including skiing, horseback riding, biking, camping and hiking.
