Laurie Gallegos

Physician Assistant

Laurie began her medical career in 1994, practicing rural and family medicine for nearly two decades before transitioning into psychiatry in 2013. That journey has given her a deep understanding of the whole person—body, mind, and life circumstances—and it’s what continues to shape the care she provides today.

In her practice, she strives to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where patients feel truly seen and heard. She believes in evidence-based care, shared decision-making, and working collaboratively with her patients to navigate life’s challenges—and celebrate its victories—together. Her goal is to support each person in improving their quality of life, with compassion, respect, and a personalized approach to mental wellness.

Since moving to Coeur d'Alene in 2007, she has had the joy of raising my two children and becoming part of this beautiful community. She loves spending time outdoors—whether it’s hiking, camping, or simply enjoying nature with her family.
