Michael Lape, LCSW
Michael Lape, LCSW joined Heritage Health in 2022 and currently works as a Counselor.
Michael has seven of years working in mental health, crisis and substance abuse and went into
clinical work because, “I have always been passionate about mental health. I enjoy positively
impacting clients lives as we walk with them through their journey.”
Michael specializes in helping people with mental health and substance abuse issues and loves working with patients because, “Seeing someone impact their life in a lasting positive way; increasing their functionality and enjoyment cannot be matched. Best job ever if you can even call it a job!”
Originally from Vancouver, Washington, Michael loves his wife, three children, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, his dog, and his very large family. When not busy herding cats (his family) he enjoys, anything outdoors, rockhounding, hunting, fishing, hiking and all seasons.
Michael earned their Bachelor’s degree from Lewis-Clark State College in Social Work in 2014 and a Master’s degree from Boise State University for Social Work in 2015.
A fun fact about Michael is I speak Nimipuutimptki (Nez Perce).
