Kimberly Ashmore

Nurse Practitioner

Kim Ashmore joined Heritage Health in 2023 as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the first cohort of the NP residency program. Kim has 18 years of experience working in the field of nursing with a background in the Cardiac ICU, ICU, PACU, and home healthcare settings.

She became an NP to have a more autonomous and direct role in the health of her patients. She strives to bring shared decision-making strategies into the relationship with her patients, assisting them in managing their healthcare decisions. With a specialty in Family Medicine, she enjoys working with patients knowing that every person is unique in their life, where they are in their healthcare journey, and believing that everyone deserves top-notch care.

Originally from Great Falls, Montana, Kim loves hiking, traveling both regionally and internationally, being by the water, camping, cooking, and spending time at home with her spouse Chris, daughter Cassidy, and rescue terrier Lucy.

Kim earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2005 from Montana State University and a Doctoral degree from Washington State University as a Family Nurse Practitioner in May of 2023.

A fun fact about Kim: her spouse Chris, and her daughter who was only six years old at the time, spent three magical weeks backpacking and exploring Thailand in 2017.
