Bob Jackson
Nurse Practioner Resident
Robert joined Heritage Health in 2025 and currently works as a Family Nurse Practitioner. After his service in the United States Marine Corps, Robert enjoyed a successful career as an entrepreneur, where he owned companies specializing in marketing, public relations, and corporate communications.
However, in 2008, after his father was hospitalized with a life-ending condition, he chose to leave his career behind, return to school, and commit the balance of his life to caring for the needs of the most vulnerable. He believes it is a privilege and an honor to be invited into a patient’s life and that healthcare is never greater than the one patient he is caring for at that moment.
Robert is from a military family and has traveled widely, going to more than 15 different schools before graduating from High School, and has a voracious appetite for playing outdoors. His hobbies include running, biking, hiking, boating, wakeboarding, skiing, sailing, scuba diving, kayaking, snowboarding, and just about anything you can do outside.
Robert earned a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration and Exercise Science from Eastern Washington University (EWU), and from Washington State University (WSU), a Bachelor of Nursing Science. In 2025, he completed a Doctor of Nursing Practice - Family Nurse Practitioner degree at WSU, and is currently completing the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Master’s program at Gonzaga University.
Robert loves the Rocky series of movies because they portray the enduring human spirit to overcome life tragedies, to never give up, and win. Robert says, “I don’t know if it’s the Marine in me or I’m just blessed with endless energy and tenacity, but as long as I am alive, there’s still time to start over, attempt something new, and invest myself in making the lives of others better.”
Robert’s son once told him, “Dad, you’re like a dog with a bone; you just won’t quit.”
