Therapist

Jennifer, LMSW, specializes in treating addiction disorders, co-occurring disorders, and people who have suffered trauma.

She previously worked in the medical field in nursing and was an EMT for a total of 11 years prior to becoming a therapist. While she was going to nursing school, she realized she wanted to do something else. Her sister also works as a clinical social worker in Coeur d’Alene was part of her decision to change direction in her education.

“My sister inspired me to pursue a career as a social worker.” I wanted to be somewhere helping people,” said Jennifer.

Jennifer credits her mother for instilling a passion for her desire to serve.

“She was someone who always helped people no matter the need or situation,” she said. “She ran several small nonprofits and businesses, she baked cookies and candies for the homeless during the holiday season every year up until her passing in 2015 and was a good soul in general.”

Born and raised in Coeur d’Alene, Jennifer has a bachelor’s degree in social work from Lewis-Clark State College and a master’s degree in social work from Boise State University.

Jennifer has two young children with disabilities who are the center of her universe, and she is raising them on her small family farm. She enjoys spending time outdoors including, fishing, hunting, foraging, UTV rides, hiking, kayaking, and camping.
