Natashia Nelson
Nurse Practitioner
Natashia Nelson is a nurse practitioner with a passion for serving the community. She joined Heritage Health Rathdrum Clinic in May of 2022.
Natashia has over 20 years of experience in healthcare. Her background includes long-term care, teaching the nursing assistant course, director of infection control, wound management, neurology, and caring for those with developmental disabilities. She is trained in family medicine including pediatrics, geriatrics, women’s health, and functional and integrative medicine. Natashia also has served in volunteer positions with the Christ clinic in Spokane and La Mision in Guatemala. La Mision is an organization that provides medical, dental, and vision care to the poor in remote villages of Guatemala.
Working with Heritage Health was a natural decision for Natashia. She notes, “I identify with the need to provide care to all people regardless of their ability to pay. I have seen how lack of funds ultimately affects individuals' health and longevity.”
Originally from the Pullman-Moscow area, she enjoys being out in nature, gardening, raising chickens and hiking in the woods on her property. Natashia loves family life. She has been married to her husband Don since 2004. She has four daughters and three grandchildren.
Natashia earned her nursing degree at Spokane Community College. She completed her bachelor's degree in Nursing from Western Governors University and her master's degree in Family Nurse Practitioner from Spring Arbor University.
