Leah Furman
Nurse Practitioner
Leah joined Heritage Health in 2023 as part of the first Nurse Practitioner Residency Program cohort. She has lived in Hayden for the past 20+ years and graduated from Lake City High School, so she feels a strong connection with the North Idaho community.
Â
She specializes in family practice with interests in women’s health, pediatrics, and diabetes management. She loves collaborating with patients to ensure care outcomes can be met in an accessible and sustainable way.
Â
Leah earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Gonzaga University in 2022 and is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She also earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Lewis-Clark State College in 2016 and an Associate of Science in Philosophy from North Idaho College in 2014. Leah previously worked as an inpatient nurse, most recently on a child and adolescent psychiatric unit.
Â
In her free time, Leah loves spending time with her husband and two daughters. They enjoy family walks, going to the park, and spending the summers at Farragut and Silverwood. She also enjoys reading, playing board and video games, and attending concerts. Fun fact, Leah auditioned for the Jeopardy! College Championship while in nursing school.
