Dr. Hatta Clark was born and raised in Central South Dakota where she later attended South Dakota State University and obtained her Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing in 2006, Summa Cum Laude. She earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery with high honors from the University of Iowa in 2011. She was awarded a Certificate of Merit from the American Academy of Oral Medicine, The Keith Thayer Fixed Prosthodontics Award, The Dr. Schmidt Practice Management Award, Jim & Margaret Bolks Scholarship and the Dean’s Academic Recognition Award. Currently, Dr. Clark is a member of the American Dental Association, the Idaho State Dental Association, the Idaho Panhandle Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry and the International Association of Orthodontics.
Following dental school Dr. Clark worked in private practice in Leawood, Kansas for two years before moving overseas with her husband to live and work in the North Island of New Zealand. After her first child was born, Dr. Clark and family decided to settle down back in the United States and fell in love with Northern Idaho! She has been with Heritage Health since February of 2015. Throughout her career as a registered nurse and dentist, she has gained ample experience providing care to individuals and families via multiple different healthcare delivery systems (i.e., hospitals, clinics, state psych hospitals, nursing homes, community health centers, etc.). She is able to perform at the highest of standards while practicing with empathy and respect that facilitates an ongoing, caring, compassionate relationship with her patients. In addition, her history of working with multiple healthcare professionals has taught her that quality care is delivered by a team and collaboration requires mutual trust, recognition and respect among the health care team. Dr. Clark has a great passion for dentistry and has a strong connection wither patients. She believes in the mission of Heritage Health and strives to continue to improve access to dental care for the community.
Dr. Clark and her husband, Jared, have three young children – Viper, Vaughn and Oz. Outside of work she enjoys boating, fishing, skiing and spending time with friends and family.
