Jolie Jantz is the clinical pharmacist and diabetes educator for Heritage Health, where she has worked since 2017. She sees patients at all Heritage locations for any medication-related problem that requires a specialized focus on safe and effective med management. Her goal is to help patients achieve a healthy balance of nutrition and exercise to minimize reliance on pharmaceutical interventions. She also mentors pharmacy students from the Idaho State University and Washington State University Schools of Pharmacy. Prior to joining Heritage Health, she enjoyed 10 years at Kootenai Medical Center, where she managed the inpatient care of medical floor patients and taught both pharmacy and medical residents.
Jolie completed her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado in 2003, her doctorate degree from Idaho State University in 2007, her residency at Intermountain Healthcare in 2008, her pharmacotherapy board certification in 2008, and her diabetes care and education specialist certification in 2018.
Jolie is a horse-crazy girl from Louisiana who has competed nationally in equestrian events like the American Eventing Championships. When not making the world a safer place for her patients, she often can be found competing in triathlons, swimming across Lake Coeur d’Alene, or pushing snow around with her tractor on her North Idaho ranch.
